River Tech À La Carte (Home School)
With our growing team of teachers, we're ready to welcome additional homeschool students to River Tech starting January 5th, 2026.
We’re excited to offer a new opportunity for homeschooling families! While River Tech Premium (Full-Time) serves full-time students, we now welcome homeschoolers to join us for one or two 4-hour-days per week (10:30 AM – 2:30 PM). This flexible program allows students to experience the benefits of River Tech’s learning environment while maintaining their homeschool routine.
We are also opening up our field-trips to home schoolers. More info below.
Please note: The 1- and 2-day programs do not include Math or English.

Volunteering to Lead Teach a Class
If you have teaching experience and at least a bachelor’s degree, or the equivalent expertise, you can apply to volunteer to teach a subject. We’ll be selecting only a few (3–4) parent volunteers to participate at first. As a volunteer, you won’t be paid a salary—but in gratitude for your time, we do give priority to active volunteers during the scholarship review process. (Families who are unable to volunteer are still welcome to apply for tuition assistance—volunteering simply helps strengthen an application when funds are limited).
Field Trips
At River Tech we go on regular field-trips. Check it out here.
Field trips will primarily be scheduled outside of regular school hours:
-
After school at 2:30 PM
-
On weekends, typically Saturdays
-
On school holidays, such as Columbus Day or MLK Day
-
During school breaks, such as Winter Break or Spring Break
-
A few field trips will be scheduled during school hours.
Field trips will be optional, and you will sign up using a form. With limited seating, spots will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
We plan to offer field trips monthly. Each field trip will have a fee (starting at $20). With this change, the field trips will be open for siblings (and parents) also. In other words, we’ll plan a trip, and then if you want to go, you sign up and come.
