Homeschool Programs Now FULL!
We are no longer accepting homeschool enrollment for the 2025-26 school year.
Starting August 19th 2025, River Tech will also offer 1 & 2 Day programs for homeschoolers, grades K-12. Update: Enrollment for Homeschoolers is now full. However, we have a WAITLIST here.
We’re excited to offer a new opportunity for homeschooling families! While River Tech School primarily serves full-time K-12 students, we now welcome homeschoolers to join us for one or two 4-hour-days per week (10:30 AM – 2:30 PM). This flexible program allows students to experience the benefits of River Tech’s learning environment while maintaining their homeschool routine.
We are also opening up our field-trips to home schoolers. More info below.
Please note: The 1- and 2-day programs do not include Math or English.

Volunteer Discount for our 1-2 Day Program
Volunteering to Lead Teach a Class
If you have teaching experience and at least a bachelor’s degree, or the equivalent expertise, you can apply to volunteer to teach a subject. We’ll be selecting only a few (3–4) parent volunteers to participate at first. As a volunteer, you won’t be paid a salary—but in gratitude for your time, you’ll receive a tuition discount on your family’s monthly bill, reflecting both your in‐class hours and the time you spend preparing lessons, grading, and supporting students.
The table below shows how it works for full-time students. Exactly how it will work for homeschoolers is still being worked out, and I will update this page with further details in the near future.

Field Trips
At River Tech we go on regular field-trips. Check it out here.
Field trips will primarily be scheduled outside of regular school hours:
-
After school at 2:30 PM
-
On weekends, typically Saturdays
-
On school holidays, such as Columbus Day or MLK Day
-
During school breaks, such as Winter Break or Spring Break
-
A few field trips will be scheduled during school hours.
Field trips will be optional, and you will sign up using a form. With limited seating, spots will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
We plan to offer field trips monthly. Each field trip will have a fee (starting at $20). With this change, the field trips will be open for siblings (and parents) also. In other words, we’ll plan a trip, and then if you want to go, you sign up and come.
